Our story

Looking back now, I can see the warning signs as plain as day but it took a full year of what can only be described as hell to find an answer. We had just purchased a new home when my then 14 year old started experiencing anxiety, fears, hallucinations, self-injury, depression, OCD, anorexia…and the list goes on.  For a full year she was diagnosed with at least 10 different mental health illnesses, committed to pediatric psychiatric hospitals over 4 times, attempted suicide twice and injured herself on a daily basis. I went into mama bear mode researching until my eyes burned…dietary interventions, doctor appointments, therapy…only to be told that she just needs the right medications.  My intuition was screaming to me that this was not right, that something else was going on.  That is when we found the doctor that figured it all out and I heard of PANDAS for the first time.

At the time we had been using homeopathy for common childhood illnesses so we tried homeopathy for a short time for my daughter but I pursued conventional treatments in conjunction, looking for a quick fix.  My daughter became stable but then I started noticing that my son was developing a vocal tic. I had read a few blog posts here and there about people using different remedies to treat tics so I tried one and gave him a dose and waited…no change. Then I gave him another dose and waited…his tic was becoming less frequent…another dose…it was gone!  I could not believe my eyes.  I had never seen such quick results and most importantly I didn’t feel that empty pit in the bottom of my stomach like I had every time they administered medication to my daughter.  In my heart, it just felt right. It is a gentle healing that does not turn my child into a zombie or change their personality. I knew then that I wanted to learn more and be able to help other families.

Since then our family has been using homeopathy successfully for everything from teething and food intolerances to chronic Lyme disease, ADHD and anxiety. Although it has been a long road, no words can describe the feeling that you get when you see your child’s health being returned to them…when you realize that they are indeed improving…that your child that you know and love is coming back.  I feel as though our family has experienced a true rebirth with homeopathy. We have risen from the ashes to a new life filled with health, hope and happiness.
